Define the nutrient system clearly
Document the base nutrient system, supporting products, mixing order, water source, measurement method and the crop stages in which each input is used. Clear definitions make training and auditing easier.
Control the preparation process
Standardize who prepares feed solution, how stock is measured, how meters are calibrated and how final EC and pH are recorded. Where appropriate, record lot or batch information for products used in the facility.
Make application traceable
Records should connect the prepared solution to the room, crop stage and application date. The level of detail depends on the facility, but the principle is that another trained person should be able to understand what was applied and when.
Use trends for corrective action
A professional nutrient program includes a process for responding to unusual plant response, root-zone trends or measurement deviations. Corrective action should be documented rather than handled informally and forgotten.
Nutrient choice does not equal GACP certification
GACP covers the broader cultivation and quality-management system. Nutrient products are only one input within that system. A nutrient brand cannot by itself guarantee facility compliance or certification.
