FAQ
Practical answers for professional growers.
Find answers about CANNA cultivation systems, feeding guidance, substrates, product selection and support in Thailand.
Choosing a System
What is the difference between CANNA Coco and CANNA Substra?
CANNA Coco is designed around cultivation in coco substrates, while CANNA Substra is designed for inert substrates such as rockwool where irrigation and nutrient delivery can be controlled precisely.
How do I choose between Coco and Substra?
The right system depends on your substrate, irrigation setup, operational preferences and desired level of root-zone control.
Feeding & Nutrition
Should CANNA products be used as a complete system?
CANNA nutrition programs are designed around coordinated base nutrition and supporting products. Product selection should be considered alongside substrate, crop stage, irrigation strategy and plant response.
What are A & B nutrients?
Some concentrated mineral nutrients are separated into two components to keep certain mineral elements stable before dilution. Both components are used as part of the intended base nutrient program.
What is the difference between base nutrients and additives?
Base nutrients provide the primary mineral nutrition required by the crop. Supporting products have more specific roles within the cultivation program.
Should feeding schedules be followed exactly?
Feeding schedules should be used as practical references rather than rigid formulas. Cultivar, environment, irrigation, substrate and plant response should all be considered.
EC & pH
Why are EC and pH important?
EC provides an indication of nutrient concentration, while pH influences nutrient availability in the root zone. Both are important tools for managing a consistent cultivation program.
Are the same EC and pH targets suitable for every facility?
No. Appropriate management depends on the cultivation system, crop stage, environmental conditions, irrigation strategy and plant response.
Products
What is RHIZOTONIC used for?
RHIZOTONIC is positioned within the cultivation program for root development and early-plant establishment.
What is PK 13/14 used for?
PK 13/14 provides concentrated phosphorus and potassium support during the appropriate generative stage of the cultivation program.
What is CANNABOOST used for?
CANNABOOST is a plant-performance product intended to complement the flowering program.
Where does CANNA Control fit within the product range?
CANNA Control is presented separately from the Coco and Substra base nutrition systems as part of crop-care and cultivation management.
Professional Cultivation
Can CANNA be used in professional cultivation facilities?
CANNA systems are designed for structured cultivation programs where nutrition, substrate, irrigation and plant response are managed together.
Does using CANNA guarantee GACP compliance?
No. GACP involves the facility’s overall cultivation practices, documentation, traceability, procedures and quality systems. Nutrient selection is only one part of a broader cultivation program.
Can CANNA Thailand help adapt a feeding program for a facility?
CANNA Thailand can provide guidance on system selection and help growers interpret feeding guidance in the context of their cultivation setup.
