Substra is a stage-based system
CANNA Substra separates vegetative and generative base nutrition into Vega and Flores. The base is also split into A & B components. For a facility, this means product selection should follow the crop stage rather than treating one base nutrient as a full-cycle solution.
Standard and HC are not interchangeable schedules
CANNA Substra Standard and Substra HC have different concentration and dosing references. The rate from one product line should not be copied to the other. The CANNA Thailand calculator keeps Standard Soft Water and HC as separate systems so the correct schedule data is used.
Water type matters
Standard Substra feeding references can be water-specific. The current CANNA Thailand order structure uses the Soft Water variant for standard Substra. A facility should know its source-water EC and mineral background before choosing or interpreting a schedule.
EC and pH in an inert root zone
In Rockwool, the root-zone solution can change quickly because the substrate contributes very little nutrition of its own. That makes consistent monitoring of irrigation input, drain behavior, EC and pH particularly useful. Trends over time are more informative than one isolated reading.
Irrigation precision is part of nutrition management
Shot size, frequency, dry-back behavior, slab or block volume and drainage strategy all influence how nutrients behave around the roots. The feeding schedule should therefore be used together with irrigation data, not separately from it.
